Utah Family Law Overview

Utah family law is governed primarily by Title 30 of the Utah Code (Husband and Wife) and Title 78B, Chapter 12 (Child Support) and Chapter 13 (UCCJEA). Utah courts use the best interests of the child standard and may award joint or sole legal and physical custody. Utah has a presumption in favor of joint legal custody.
